the real problem here is how you have the time to play 7 characters.

Make a prophecies character. Get a run to D'alessio. Level to 10 in empty districts. Get a run to droks. Go through ICoS, IMoM, THK all with henchmen (who, by the way, ROCK), and breeze through the last couple with henchmen too.

Time taken: ~3 hours.

Lol much?

[skill]Broad Head Arrow[/skill] > Hell's Mission

When the new end games came out for prophicies we went in and 1 guy had to go eat dinner about 13 seconds into the mission, then the other Ranger DCed about 8 mins in. So the 6 of us were done in a total of 28 mins.

Yeah, OMG, something really needs done about this.

Also I'm glad that guysnotmymother, I'd be one wacked out kid growing up witht he kinda advice that guy gives. Trapper LMAO. Self heal, pets on Warriors, IWAY HELL"S FTW!!!

Prophecies was made to be a longer game as a whole. From factions on, they wanted the final encounter to be like that in console RPGs, where you have this epic 1v1 (or I guess 8v1) fight with the final boss. They have their different styles, and there's no use complaining about it.

I've always liked the end of games to be like that. Things like Kingdom Hearts, the ending was actually quite satisfying in difficulty and fun. Kingdom Hearts Two moreso.

Agreed wholeheartedly...its the challenge in getting it that makes a reward worth having. All of the endgame missions should have been more like Hell's.

WOW! Did some of you actually READ my post?

#1. I am not being cranky or whiny, I am stating my opinion. Last I checked, that's what forums are for.

#2. I am not pissed off. Where in my post did it say this? Does posting suggestions mean that people are pissed off? Give your head a shake...

#3. Lazy? Come on, doing all 4 campaigns with 7 characters clearly shows that I am far from lazy when it comes to this game. I am merely stating that I already beat prophecies 7 times and have little desire to do it over again 7 more times (and what does farming have to do with this post?). AND, I think my suggestion is MORE than reasonable, as the different area would only be accessible to those who already beat prophecies (that is, IF you read my post).

#4. The time was not the core of my issue. OK, so maybe I was off by 10-15 minutes or so. The 7 times I did it was at least a year ago with less-seasoned players. That was not my point, even though it's 75% of the replies. Besides, if you figure I can get a group together to bust this mission off 7 times in a row, playing 7 different classes, and begging for more monks 7 different times in less than 25 minutes for all 7 (I see a theme here), you too must give your head a shake.

The missions always been the same length, i don't think they should add 1 more mission or even change a mission thats been untouched (i think) since release because someone doesn't really like spending 30 mins on it.

Its a bit like "give me masters reward because the mission is difficult!1!!11oneoneone!"

And if you don't like using humans because none are monks, HEROES PLZ.

It would be nice though to have easy access to the craftable weapons.

To put this into perspective, I have completed Prophecies with 7 of my 9 characters. Last I remember, Hell's Precipice takes about 45 minutes (maybe more) to complete, times 7 characters... OUCH!!! Factions is 2 minutes if you do it right, and Nightfall runs around 10 minutes with a decent group. Is there any way to avoid this pain?

I would think that you could have an area that allows access to the final Lich battle after someone has completed the prophecies campaign for the first time (kind of like the "Goddess of Truth" statue viewing area in the Chantry of Secrets). This would make it as easy to access the final area as the other campaigns, and you can't just "walk in" as you please, again staying with the not so easy accessible final area. Doing this would also avoid changing the original campaign design for anyone who hasn't completed it yet, so this would not be a big storyline design change. I think doing Hell's Precipice over again which is the current (and only) option is EXTREMELY undesireable!

Edited by Celestial Beaver: Changed thread title to something more relevant.
You're wasting your time suggesting logical ideas. This honestly isn't site to do so.

Your wording is the problem.

Again, the wording, it has a "pissed off" tone when I read it. You don't have to say "I'm pissed off" in order to be pissed off...

What I bolded is the problem, what your stating is that you don't want to do all 25 missions over again. You only need to take 20-30 minutes per character, not a hard thing to do. 140-210 minutes is only 2 hrs 20 min - 3 hrs 30 min. max of 7 days work, min of 1 day. Not much, thats why we say your lazy.

-cough- Heroes? -cough- if time isn't an issue, then there shouldn't BE and issue. It is an easy mission and it isn't hard to do with just HENCHMEN let alone with Heroes as well. Can't find a monk, Bring a hero! No hero? missing 2 of 4 games? Grab the henchmen! Better yet... Get a friend/guildie! There should always be at least one that is bored and will help you out with that mission nowadays.

Not trying to be an ass or anything towards you, but there really is no reason whatsoever to ruin probably the best mission in all of GW1, and defiantly the best of prophecies. That being my opinion and other's that I've heard, not fact . And, that mission is not hard, nor time consuming, like I said above, takes at most a week if you just do the mission once a day.

You'd have all 7 done by now if you just did it instead of complain. THAT is the biggest issue of this thread and your opinion. You'd have no reason to have the change if you just went and did it without complaining.

When the new items came out my Guildies and I rushed to Hell's as two groups.

First group finished in around 19min~

And the group I was in finished in around 22min~

^___^

I enjoyed Hells, not hard at all, if you know how to avoid aggro and pull

If whats being referred to here were when you have finished the campaign on one char and then you just wanted to craft something or you bought a talisman off someone and then wanted to get an end game item on that same char then I'd sympathize with u.

But since the case is about getting end game items on other chars bypassing the last mission then I think Prophecies already allows you to skip about 90% of the campaign by getting run straight to THK, which Factions and Nightfall do not allow.

So although its easy to do the last mission in Factions - you still have to have finished Raisu Palace to get there and this means all the missions leading thereto on your other characters.

At least the end game area in Prophecies is not one where amour is crafted, which you cannot buy off other people. Weapons you can just buy in town.

/unsigned for laziness. I agree with Azazel; even though you might not feel it's lazy, being unwilling to simply repeat a mission to obtain endgame items certainly seems incredibly lazy.

We should be grateful for the huge amount of gameplay content in Prophecies, not asking for it to be diminished.

Complete the final mission, get the bonus. Just like in Factions, Nightfall and GW:EN. Sounds perfectly fair to me.

Hi guys.

Well you might not be able to follow through on some of my thoughts but it makes for great conversation!

As you can tell I am old. As you also can tell that I love this game! So, generating some cont. every now and then is not such a bad thing.

I do feel that the game has been dumbed down a lot and took me forever to get past the last mission when I first did it. Remember that there were only 6 classes and Prof skills at the time that I completed the mission and got the Protector Title.

That said I did mess the name up. I am going for LDoA in Presearing. So count that as Old fart, bad brain!

It would also seem that there are no epic battles anymore. By that I am implying that the battles last less than 1 or 2 minutes each.

Once upon a time I played Final Fan. 7. I remember that there was a Dragon in the desert that you did not have to kill to finish the game. However if you tried to kill it there was an EPIC battle. Took me 3 Hours to kill it after multiple tries. This dragon became known as the Hardest Boss to kill in any video game Ever. Harder than Castlewolfenstine! (now that takes me back..way back)

So I am used to playing and killing things in time. Strong balanced heal/damage builds. You know, keep yourself alive, kill off their healers then wipe the group.

If I was to say that it takes me 1-1.5 minutes to kill off a group of charr in Presearing's Northlands some might say..wooow what is he doing. Well it can sometimes when fighting 2 hunters and 2 shaman. But I have +8 health regen and it takes 3 seconds to cast it. So it takes some time. I am not running back and forth from the res shrine either.

My point..after the ramble.

Its a game. It has no Real World Value. Have fun. Don't stress out cause it really is not that hard. Ask a guildie to go with you. I am sure someone will help.

To Orange Milk. Man you made me laugh! Pee'd myself! If you go back 2 years and ask people this is actually what some people did. Looks stupid as heck I am sure now but back then was the norm.

I just scrolled up and read that again. I am still laughing!!!!!!!
